Fresno Unified School District Board Of Education Regular Meeting
The Board of Education meeting focused on several key topics. In closed session, the Board took action on legal claims and approved the dismissal of classified employees, as well as several principal appointments. During the conference and discussion agenda, members reviewed the 2026/27 Strategic Budget Development, discussing accountability, community engagement, student demographics in Career Technical Education, and dual enrollment opportunities. The Board also approved initial proposals regarding a successor agreement with the International Association of Machinist & Aerospace Workers. Additionally, the Board addressed community concerns regarding the removal of the Cesar Chavez mural at Edison High School and adopted a resolution to establish a process for addressing facility names, murals, or likenesses on district property. Other actions included approval of personnel lists, salary schedule revisions, and various campus improvement projects.
