The needed funds to complete the recovery projects for Hurricane Harvey are included in this budget. The emphasis of this year's expenditures will concentrate on the completion of several capital projects for Hurricane Harvey, a new Animal Shelter, and providing City Services at a level that has become acceptable to the Citizens.

The council meeting focused on a dune permit application (BFDP 19-0090) from John Weaver to construct a single-family residence at 701 Silverleaf (Sunflower Beach). The application, previously approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission, was reviewed for consistency with the City's Coastal Management Plan. The council was asked to approve the dune permit application.
