The City Council meeting included a closed session to discuss litigation and labor negotiations. In the regular session, the Council issued proclamations for Perioperative Nurses Week and the Great American Smokeout 2025. The commission reviewed and certified various employment eligibility lists for positions including Mechanic II, Program Manager II, Program Specialist-Office Technician, Program Specialist-Police Telecommunicator I, and Senior Plant Operator-Wastewater. Key administrative actions included the approval for the removal of names from Police Officer eligible lists, the abolition of the Recreation Program Coordinator eligible list, and authorization to conduct a promotional examination for the Firefighter Engineer position. Additionally, the commission received an informational update regarding the new classification specification for a Fire and EMS Support Services Analyst.

The City Council meeting included the appointment of a new City Attorney and various administrative and financial actions. Key discussions and approvals covered the appointment of members to the Strong Communities Advisory Committee, Measure A Citizens' Advisory Committee, and the Cultural Heritage Board. The council authorized a Joint Community Facilities Agreement for the Airpark 599 project, amended a contract with Project Sentinel for tenant-landlord dispute resolution, and extended a software solution agreement with Naviant, LLC.
