Work includes construction of approx. 5,177 1" single service water lines, 25 1 1/2" single service waterlines, and 76 2" single service water lines, together with all necessary appurtenances, by using a trenchless installation method (directional boring, pipe bursting, or push/pull insertion) without open-cutting the roadway or driveway. Service lines shall be classified as either "short service lines" or "long service lines". A "short service line shall mean an existing service line connecting to the water meter that is located on the same side of the street as the water main. A "long service line" shall mean an existing service line connecting to the water meter that is located on the opposite side of the street from the water main.
