The Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing regarding a variance request for a side yard offset to facilitate the construction of a new detached garage at 4927 W. Elmdale Road. The appellant provided justification for the request, citing site constraints, utility line interference, and the desire to replace a dilapidated structure. Staff noted that while the project would not be fully code compliant, it represented an improvement over the existing setback. Following board discussion, the variance request to allow a 10-foot side yard offset was approved.
