The Holton City Commission meeting on August 16, 2010, approved the minutes of the August 2nd and 6th meetings, passed Appropriation Ordinance #2017 for claims between July 17th and August 2nd, and approved Resolution 10-R001 for updated personnel policies. A special meeting was scheduled for August 19th to adopt the 2011 budget, following a public hearing. The commission also discussed implementing a no-cost credit/debit card processing service and a potential art contest for a new city seal.

The Holton City Commission meeting on July 6, 2010, welcomed new city manager Bret Bauer, approved claims under Appropriation Ordinance #2014, and passed a proclamation for the 20th anniversary of the ADA.
