Finally, the Council accepted the resignation of Councilmember Andre Perkins, recognized his service, appointed Terry Knight to fill the vacancy, administered the oath of office to Councilmember Knight, and appointed Councilmember Mary Combs Demby as Mayor Pro-Tempore.
