The Downtown Revitalization Plan for the City of Clintonville establishes a master framework to guide future efforts in improving the downtown area, which is considered the heart of the city. Developed through a study by SEH, the plan includes a market study, funding summary, and an implementation matrix to support its objectives.

The meeting was called to order to discuss the Police Chief hiring process. The commission narrowed down the field to four candidates and discussed the next steps in the recruitment process. Interviews were scheduled with the candidates, and a meet and greet with the final two candidates was planned, along with final interviews.

The meeting included updates on the bill list and current and upcoming projects, including progress on the enclosed shelter, upcoming 2019 recreation programs, and discussions with the Clintonville Youth League. The committee discussed a letter from the CYL stating they would be removing half of their league from playing in the City and recommended staff pursue a concession stand rental agreement with the Girl's Fastpitch team. The committee reviewed a conceptual diagram and cost breakdown for a swimming pond, discussing design features and funding options, and directed City Hall staff to obtain community feedback on options for an aquatic facility. The committee authorized the City Administrator to coordinate the purchase and erection of an ADA fishing pier at Seven Maples Nature Area, funded by Shadows on the Wolf.

The Street Committee meeting addressed several key areas, including prioritizing repairs to the Public Works Building, with a focus on personnel and service doors. Options for repairing 15th St. were discussed, with the possibility of State disaster relief funds being available. The committee was updated on resolution fee schedule changes and adjustments. A bucket truck repair was addressed and the sweeper purchase was postponed pending grant approval. The committee also received updates on dam progress, as well as road and vehicle maintenance.

The Plan Commission meeting addressed city facility planning, including funding options, Fire Department needs, potential joint building with the Fire Department and Public Works, potential building sites, and the construction timeline. It was recommended to Common Council that the construction of a new Public Works Facility be prioritized and budgeted in the 2027-2029 CIP before the Fire Barn or City Hall. The commission also reviewed a conditional use permit request from City of Clintonville Municipal Airport for governmental and cultural uses in the I1 Industrial District.
