The meeting commenced with a presentation of Staff Star Recognitions for January and February recipients, followed by the presentation of All-State Academic certificates to Football and Volleyball players. A Priority 1 Balanced Scorecard Update focused on Special Education data. A Public Hearing was held for the presentation of the Calallen ISD Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) 2024-2025. Informational reports covered contracts for Wood River Elementary HVAC Equipment Replacements and Upgrades (Bond 2023), the Jobs and Education for Texans (JET) Grant 2026, and monthly finance reports for Bonds 2023 and 2024. New business included the approval of a consent agenda covering resource materials, adjunct teaching authorization, and a licensing agreement renewal. The Board also approved the purchase of one Special Education Bus. Furthermore, the ranking and negotiation authorization for the Middle School Chemical Injection Stabilization Services Project (Bond 2023) was approved, contingent upon successful negotiation with the top-ranked proposer. Resolutions for Acceptance and Final Payment for the East Elementary School Remodel Project (2023 Bond) were approved. The calendar for 2026-2027 was approved, as was the use of remaining Bond 2024 funds for the CHS Baseball and Softball Lighting Upgrade/Replacement Project. Finally, the implementation of Senate Bill 11 was approved.

The meeting included public comments regarding support for Layla Mata sitting on stage for the 2026 CHS graduation. Administration provided thanks to the Board of Trustees for their service. Informational reports covered the First Quarter Investment Report, Quarterly Donations Report, and the Finance and Projects Reports for Bond 2023 and Bond 2024. New business involved the approval of the CISD insurance renewal, the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Budget Amendment #3, and the subsequent approval of a one-year extension of the Superintendent's contract with a negotiated salary increase.
