The proceedings included the recognition of the January Extra Mile Award recipient, Mr. Michael Jeffcoat from Henderson Middle School, for his dedication to students and colleagues. Key items approved under the Consent Agenda included surplus property and textbooks, and several out-of-district travel requests for various Jackson High School organizations (NJROTC, Key Club, and Band). The Superintendent's Report covered the Personnel Report, Policy Updates H & I, and the first read of Policies J-M. The Board also conducted the election of 2026 Board Officers, naming Mrs. Kelly King as Chairperson and Mr. Clifford Marshall as Vice-Chair. Information items reviewed included the Monthly Tribunal Report, Monthly Operations Report, Monthly Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Report, and the JES School Council Meeting Minutes from December 2025. Additionally, the Financial Report covering Expenditures and SPLOST Revenue Collections for December 2025 was presented.

The Board also recognized the 2025 Christmas Card Art Contest Winner and reviewed the Superintendent's Report, policy updates, and the 2026 meeting calendar.

The meeting included recognition of individuals with the Extra Mile Award. It also included discussion of the Georgia accrediting commit certificates, public comments, regular school board meetings, superintendent report personnel, strategic checkup, consent agenda items and financial report and expenditures.

The meeting included recognition of international students and the presentation of the Extra Mile Award. Public comments were heard regarding community development. The board discussed and approved minutes from previous meetings, personnel reports, and salary schedules. They also considered school nutrition programs, revisions to board policy, adult meal price changes, and the purchase of educational resources and equipment, including Chromebooks and vision checkers. Additionally, the board discussed a copier lease, facility use requests, and surplus property.
