Angel Fire Fire Department

The Village of Angel Fire Council approved a grant program from the New Mexico Environment Department to purchase a glass conveyor for glass recycling efforts. The grant amount is $13,980, with a village cost-share of $2,986 in-kind match. The glass conveyor equipment will be used to transport glass safely and efficiently from the processing location to the storage location.

The resolution addresses the establishment of a $200,000.00 CD account for the management of cash reserves. It states that the Governing Body for the Village of Angel Fire has developed a budget for Fiscal Year 2015-2016 that requires $341,292 be held in reserve. The Finance Department determined that establishing an interest-bearing Certificate of Deposit will allow for better management of the cash reverses required by the New Mexico Department of Finance. The resolution seeks approval from the Local Government of the Department of Finance and Administration for the establishment of the certificate of deposit.

The Village of Angel Fire adopted its operating budget for the Fiscal Year 2010-2011. The governing body decided to transfer funds from the General Fund to the Debt Service fund to complete the payment for the Special Assessment District debt due on June 1, 2011. The DFA Budget Resolution was adopted and approval was requested from the Local Government Division of the Department of Finance and Administration.

The resolution addresses the establishment of short-term rental permit rates within the Village. It outlines the legal authority to levy fees for Village permits and the requirement for all short-term rental units to obtain a permit. Funds from these permits will be allocated to Workforce Housing and the purchase of water rights for the Village.
