The Council passed By-law No. 2025-06 regarding a zoning by-law amendment. The application is to remove the Holding (H) provision to enable development on the south portion of the subject lands. The by-law amends Schedule "A" to Zoning By-law 17-2014 by removing the (H) Holding Zone from the Subject Lands zoned M 1 -1 1 (H) and C1-3(H) to allow for the operation of an Auctioneer Facility and the issuance of building permits.

This document serves as a background report for the Township of Amaranth's Official Plan Review, aiming to update the existing plan to align with current County and Provincial policies, enhance usability, and refresh mapping. The review focuses on seven key themes: advancing local planning objectives, integrating local context into growth management, updating policies related to residential units, agricultural uses, and settlement boundaries, reorganizing the plan, ensuring policy conformity, and consolidating policies. The overarching goal is to guide the Township's orderly growth and development, managing physical, social, economic, and natural environmental changes.

The Council of the Corporation of the Township of Amaranth passed By-law No. 2025-13. The application is to rezone the lands from Agriculture (A) Zone to a site-specific Agriculture (A-101) Zone to facilitate a proposed Additional Residential Unit (ARU) on the property.
