Xwulqw’selu (Koksilah) Water Storage Options RFP

Description: This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Cowichan Valley Regional District (the “CVRD”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Xwulqw’selu (Koksilah) Water Storage Options, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”). The focus of this RFP is on the large-scale water storage options, including Grant Lake and gravel extraction pits. The deliverables from the project will be engineering assessments of the amount of available storage for three large-scale storage options, including Class D cost estimates for storage and distribution infrastructure. Provisionally, assessments will be provided for Grant Lake (assuming a dam at the lake outlet) and for two extraction pits (excavation, waterproof liner); however, should an alternative option be identified, consideration will be given to adjusting the scope of the assessment.
