Summary

The work involves rehabilitation of the West Secondary Clarifier at the the City Wastewater Treatment and Resource Recovery Facility (WWTRRF). The major project elements for the West Secondary Clarifier improvements are listed below: West Secondary Clarifier: Removal and disposal of existing clarifier mechanism and other appurtenances as shown, Repair of cracks in the concrete sump. Demolition of existing topping grout and re-installation of grout with the new mechanism, Installation of pressure relief valves in the clarifier floor, Installation of concrete bridge anchor blocks, new stairs and handrailing, and a concrete pad for each stairway at grade, Installation of new clarifier mechanism, the existing anti-rotation baffle wall with new wipers, and associated appurtenances, Re-installation of the launder brush system, Coat the new equipment; protect existing launder wall coating. The work of the electrical and controls contract comprises the following: Install all power and communication conduits and wire to new and existing equipment/instrumentation, Reinstall local control panel and wire all equipment, The Owner has hired a System Integrator, Control Systems NW (CSNW), to implement process controls and alarms in existing SCADA system. Contractor shall coordinate with CSNW as required to complete work.
