Summary
The space will be renovated to serve as a laser laboratory including vestibule, dedicated mechanical room with air handing unit, equipment, and cylinder storage. Demolition scope includes drywall and concrete masonry unit partitions, acoustical ceilings, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical. The raised concrete paver floor system is to be removed and reinstalled. New systems’ work includes a dedicated air handling unit with associated ductwork and piping, and laboratory equipment gas piping. Extensions and modifications to fire suppression system, fire alarm system, electrical and network cabling to support renovated layout. The laboratory and vestibule have a concrete paver raised floor system, insulated aluminum wall panel system, drywall partitions, gasketed ceiling system, black out curtains, and wood doors in hollow metal frames. Laboratory will have wood lab casework with epoxy countertops. Other rooms will be constructed of painted drywall and concrete masonry unit partitions, sealed concrete floors, and wood doors in hollow metal frames. Project will have an eyewash / safety shower, metal handrails at new stairs, and laboratory accessories.
