The U.S. Coast Guard seeks crane and qualified-rigger services to remove the damaged CG300 boom and boom stops from USCGC Smilax and install the replacement boom provided by Sparrows in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. The contractor must supply the labor, equipment, materials, and tools, follow safe lifting procedures, and conduct an operational test witnessed by the Engineer Petty Officer or designee. A trip report documenting findings is due within 48 hours after the contractor returns to its home office.
