Summary
The primary objective is to ten-day (80-hour) in-person training course, which must include classroom instruction, hands-on training with nuclear reactor control room simulators, and a site visit to an operational commercial nuclear power production plant. The secondary objective is to build proficiency in core mission competencies. Must address reactor plant control room operations, identification of plant parameters with related indicators and controls, identification of safe shutdown procedures with related indicators and controls, and identification of control adjustments necessary to maintain the plant in a safe condition. The course must include topics on accident analysis of light water reactor systems and severe accident management procedures.
