Window blinds to be removed, stored, cleaned and rehung; Relocate furniture and other furnishings as required to facilitate removal and installation of new windows; Protect furnishings, flooring from debris or other related construction processes; Protect exterior shrubbery, plants and turf from debris and other construction related processes; Remove all caulking residue from exterior; Repair replace as needed, interior drywall, texture and paint;
Install new replacement window, attaching to existing structure members.
Window to be centered with existing opening as well as the header and sill such that window is promotionally set. Where double windows are installed, both windows are to be set such that all horizontal features are exact; Insulate all four sides of each window with batt insulation and/or expanding foam, ensuring that all cavities are completely filled. The contractor shall ensure the operable windows are easily opened and closed after insulation has been installed and prior to installation of interior trim. Window installations to be inspected by university prior to installation of interior trim.
Caulk all joints of frames, and windows. Prep and paint existing interior to match existing at perimeter; Prep and paint interior drywall returns on all side; at the exterior, remove and replace cracked caulking at the juncture of window to brick, window to sill points; caulk joints of new windows; Final clean windows at interior and exterior; relocate furniture/furnishes; Perform quality assurance inspections, prior to university final inspection; The contractor responsible for all measurements required for accurate material quantities and precision installation of windows and associated trim. ADD ALTERNATE NO. 1 Installation of new faux wood, cordless blinds.
