TPA Services for the State Employee Health Plans
The Indiana House and Senate have made lowering the price of healthcare in Indiana a priority for the past six years. Indiana’s high healthcare costs are largely the result of high hospital prices, which are approximately 20 percent above the national average. During and following his election in 2024, Governor Braun committed to lowering the cost of healthcare for Hoosiers. Together, the Governor and the legislature made great strides forward in 2025, enacting legislation that should lead to lower hospital prices. This is an outcomes-based procurement that wants to build on, and take advantage of, the work performed by Indiana’s governing officials. The state’s objective is to bring aggregate hospital facility prices — excluding physician and other professional fees — for the State Employee Health Plan, to at or below the national commercial average.
