Toxicology Method Development (Request For Proposal)

Description: seeking proposals from competent and experienced firms to provide toxicology method development and validation services as further detailed under Section IV, Scope of Work. Office of the Sheriff Forensic Services Division (FSD) provides toxicology services to law enforcement agencies. . These services include analysis of blood in driving under the influence (DUI) cases. To expand the scope of services offered and meet national consensus standards, the FSD must develop and validate new methods. For that reason, the FSD is seeking a contractor to provide method development and validation services for a volatile method by Gas Chromatography Flame Ionization and Mass Spectrometry detection (GC-FID/MS). The validation must be performed in accordance with Title 17 California Code of Regulations for Forensic Alcohol Analysis and the national forensic consensus standards published on the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Organization of Scientific Areas Committees (OSAC) Registry.
