The primary objectives of this forensic audit investigation are to: determine the nature and extent of the embezzlement, including identification of sole person and/or group of individuals that may have had a role in this incident; identify the sources of funds impacted and/or used, including quantify the financial loss; assess the effectiveness of internal controls and determine which controls failed to prevent, detect, or correct the embezzlement in a timely manner; establish a clear chain of responsibility and potential fault-lines; and provide recommendations to strengthen governance, risk management, and internal controls.

The City of Los Angeles, Bureau of Street Services (StreetsLA) is soliciting a consultant to provide engineering and bid-package support during the Bid and Award phase for the Broadway Manchester Project, which includes protected bike lanes, improved medians, pedestrian refuge islands, curb extensions, and sidewalk improvements. The consultant scope includes updating design plans and specifications, constructability review, drafting (AutoCAD/Civil 3D), traffic and worksite control design, and support during bid advertising and award processes. The project duration is approximately 210 days with an overall project budget of about $39.6 million; this solicitation is for personal services (TOS) and is not a grant.

The University of Massachusetts is soliciting bids to replace the HVAC cooling system at its Falmouth facility under the project titled "Falmouth 004-HVAC Upgrade."
