Summary
Upgrade and reset the middle school softball field. The infield clay is anticipated to require evaluation and reconditioning to a depth of approx. 4-5 in. Scope of work: removal of existing field surface and preparation for new surface. Excavate and remove existing fabric under infield skin. Reset homeplate, pitching rubber, bases, and back arc. All placements must comply with school regulations. Perform edging and remove all weeds from the playing surface. Existing edging may need to be extended beyond regulation limits. Excessive weeds will require sodcutting. All debris must be removed from the field and transported to an onsite location authorized by the grounds supervisor. Roll all edges with a two (2) ton roller to minimize lip formation. Installation of new field surface: install two (2) in of a native infield mix or acceptable material authorized by the grounds supervisor. In addition, install DuraEdge native premium infield mix to complete the new surface layer to a three (3) in cap. Rebuild the pitcher s circle to specifications using Durapitch professional packing clay in the platform and landing areas. Laser grade infield mix to within one-fourth IN of proposed grades. Install turface heritage red soil conditioner. See attached file.
