Summary
The work to be performed includes the following: Segment of Tiawasee Creek near Montclair Place 1. Add Class II vegetated rip-rap with gabion (approx. 50 tons); 2. Add 8 oz. non-woven filter fabric under any new rock; 3. Add trees at 8’ centers, and live stakes at approx. 2’ centers; 4. Add up to 50’ of BioD-Block; 5. Fill with topsoil, apply biotic soil mix, flexterra, permanent seeding, coir fabric (with live stakes – 2’ center), and trees planted on 8’ centers within disturbed areas. D4-D6 Segments of D’Olive Creek 1. Improve the capacity of existing grade control structures; a) Rework two damaged grade control structures, and widen them both by 5’ b) Add a minimum of 15’ of flood plain sills to each side of the existing structures (rock or wood) 2. Adjust upstream and downstream structures to transition into new structures; 3. Add 8 oz. non-woven filter fabric under any new rock; 4. Fill and install approx. 165’ of toe wood along the exposed bank; 5. Raise the flowline grades with approx. 150 tons of gabion, or excavate the floodplain to allow access to the floodplain (or a combination of both). Bankfull and floodplain sections to mimic existing sections; 6. Fill with topsoil, apply biotic soil mix, flexterra, permanent seeding, coir fabric (with live stakes – 2’ center), and trees planted on 8’ centers within disturbed areas.
