Summary
Thousand Lake Phase IV CRI (WRI 6596) is a Utah Watershed Restoration Initiative project led by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources to obtain archaeological clearances on roughly 2,743 acres in the Solomon Basin as preparation for planned vegetation manipulation work. The scope includes mastication and lop-and-scatter treatments across sagebrush and pinyon-juniper landscapes to improve mule deer and elk habitat, benefit local fisheries and recreational waterbodies, and reduce wildfire risk. NEPA for the area is already complete and the project is multi-year with partners including the U.S. Forest Service.
