TECHNOLOGY LICENSING OPPORTUNITY: Scalable Porous Silica Materials for Separation, Filtration, and Catalysis RFP

Description: Los Alamos National Laboratory, under Department of Energy contractor TRIAD, offers licensing rights to a patented SWIFT-Si process that converts molded silicone foam into porous silica while preserving interconnected pore networks. The scalable process uses common materials and conventional molding and targets separation, filtration, catalysis, insulation, electrochemical, environmental, and advanced-material applications; it is identified as TRL 4, U.S. Patent No. 12,129,351, and LA-UR-26-26968. This active Special Notice seeks licensing responses by February 1, 2027, at 5:00 p.m. MST and is not a grant program.
