Sioux Center - Generation Site Grading

The City of Sioux Center (Sioux Center Municipal Utilities) is soliciting contractors to perform comprehensive site grading and utility work to prepare a new generation site, including excavation, embankment, topsoil placement, storm/sanitary/water service installation, pavement patching, and site restoration. The solicitation was posted on 2026-01-14 and proposals are due by 2026-02-12; full plans/specs are hosted on QuestCDN (posting is password-protected). The estimated contract value is approximately $500,000–$1,000,000 and this is a single project solicitation (not a grant).

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety – North Carolina National Guard (CFMO) seeks professional engineering/architectural services for the Camp Butner Training Center cantonment site grading project. Scope includes realigning a gravel road intersection with Roberts Chapel Road, utility corridor realignment for future development, additional gravel parking, and preparation of four building pads. Letters of Interest and SF-254 are requested; the total project budget is approximately $2,016,000, with proposals due January 26, 2026 at 4:00 pm local time.

The intersection safety will be improved by realigning two driveways, requiring demolition and new construction of approximately 800 LF of gravel road. Will require demolition and construction of ditches, earthen berms, sidewalks and gates. New intersection will incorporate pedestrian crossing with signage and area lighting. Includes realigning utilities along the new gravel roadway, ensuring adequate and ready availability of water, sewer, electrical and communications for future connections. All utilities are available within the project site; however, location and capacity planning will be required. Site work also includes addition of approximately 20,000 SF of gravel parking area and four (4) building pads for future buildings (2 x 2,000 SF and 2 x 5,000 SF).

The solicitation requests comprehensive site grading at the Southeast Substation site, including supplying labor, materials, and equipment, installation of fill, placement of gravel surfacing, and erosion control (silt fences). Janesville Utilities is issuing the solicitation to prepare the substation site for further construction or use. The posting was made in mid-January 2026 and the response deadline is in early February 2026.
