Summary
This project includes work on SEVENTH Street from Street to the south end. The 3 homes on this street are served by a 2" galvanized water pipe through a lead goose-neck connection to a pipe that is to be abandoned. A 6" ductile iron water main is proposed along the west side of the street to a fire hydrant. A new connection shall be established to an existing 12" main that has a tee and stub for this purpose. The length of stub is not completely known so excavation will proceed into Street until it is found as an exploratory excavation item. The sanitary sewer is only a 6" VCP that is too small for City cleaning and televising equipment to properly maintain. Therefore, the Project also includes replacement of this pipe and terminal manhole with an 8" pipe and precast structure in the same alignment as the existing pipe.
