Summary
The purpose of this project is to replace the facilities rooftop units and air handler units, which have surpassed their intended service life and no longer meet operational standards. The aging systems present increasing challenges: replacement parts are difficult to procure in a timely manner, the r-22 refrigerant used by the rooftop units is now largely unavailable due to regulatory phase-outs, and the existing air handler design inhibits the completion of proper duct cleaning procedures. Upgrading this equipment is essential to ensuring reliable climate control, improving maintenance efficiency, and supporting a better mechanical infrastructure for the facility.
