REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS TO MOW AND MAINTAIN PARCELS OF LAND OWNED BY THE DELAWARE COUNTY REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, DELAWARE COUNTY, INDIANA
The City-Parish is soliciting bids for an annual contract to mow and maintain turf areas and lots outside the secured airfield at Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport. The contract covers multiple sections and acreage with specific requirements for mowing frequency and height during high and low seasons. The initial term is one year with options for two 12-month renewals, totaling a maximum of 36 months.

Improved grounds are identified in appendices a and b. Improved grounds are areas that require more frequent maintenance such as cantonment areas, parade grounds, drill fields, schools, athletic areas, and living areas. These areas shall be all inclusive unless otherwise separated in bid schedule. Mow. The Contractor shall mow all improved grounds to look well-manicured with a neat and professional appearance. Shall maintain grass and vegetation in lawns between two (2) and four (4) inches (including seed heads) in height, uniform in appearance, free of skips, gaps, rutting,
or scalping. Shall pick up debris and litter prior to mowing any area. Shall remove or mulch grass clippings, when clumps or rows of clippings remain after mowing, before leaving work area. See attached file.

Edging: Sidewalks, curbs, pads, and edges have clean, crisp lines with vegetation removed within 0.5 inch of the edge and to a depth of 2". Acceptance is based solely on outcome. This work involves +/- 12,065 LF of sidewalks, driveways, concrete pads, and curbs. See attached file.

Edge: The contractor shall edge sidewalks, driveways, street edges, curbs, and other hard surfaced areas located within the improved grounds so that grass height matches surrounding area grasses. Edging shall include removal of vegetation from expansion joints and cracks in
sidewalks, driveways, curbs and other hard surfaces. Grass, vegetation and weeds shall be cut back no more than ½" from the surface edged, maintaining an even contour with the edged
surface, uniform in appearance and free of scalping, rutting, and uneven or rough cutting. All sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and other concrete areas shall be blown off to remove all debris. See attached file.
