This is a pre-qualification solicitation issued by the City of Philadelphia Water Department seeking pre-qualified contractors for sewer reconstruction, sewer lining, and relay of water mains in the Wright Street/Umbria Street drainage area. The solicitation is for pre-qualification only; approved sellers will be invited to a later closed bid solicitation for the construction work, estimated at over $5,000,000. Contract includes all work necessary to produce complete and fully usable water, sewer, and green stormwater infrastructure facilities. In general, the work includes sawcutting and removal of existing sidewalk and paving; excavation of trenches and disposal of material; excavation and grading of rain gardens, stormwater bumpouts and swales; installation of check dams and spillways; installation of clean washed stone and geotextile; installation of thermoplastic, ductile iron and RCP drainage pipe and fittings, cleanouts and riser structures; installation of energy dissipaters; installation of observation wells; installation of trench drains and concrete aprons; installation of new stormwater inlets, control structures and laterals; installation and modification of existing inlets, restoration of sidewalks, curbs, streets and disturbed residential lawns;, and placement and grading of specified stormwater and planting soils.

Work includes 3,530 CY of excavation for pipe sewers; 2,350 LF of 18" rcp sewer; 280 LF of 21" rcp sewer; 2,750 LF of concrete curb; 2,700 SY of concrete footway paving; 300 SY of milling; 2,100 SY of subbase, 6" depth, including subgrading; 2,100 SY of plain cement concrete base course, 8" depth; construction and as builts of 12 EA 6" thick ADA ramps; 1,300 CY of excavation for water mains; 3,070 LF of 8" DI pipe; 3,300 LF of 3/4" copper service pipe from water main to curb stop and associated works.
