Summary
The State of Hawaii Department of Health, through its Emergency Medical Services & Injury Prevention Systems Branch, is soliciting vendors to manufacture, test, and certify two (2) new surface Emergency Rapid Response Vehicles (RRVs) — Ford Police Interceptor Utility (PIU) packages on All-Wheel Drive Ford Explorer chassis with supplemental emergency lighting, an L3 Harris XL-200M radio system, custom console, and USDOT/SAE compliance. The procurement is funded by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Rural Health Transformation Program to expand emergency medical response in rural Hawaii communities. The vehicles are to be delivered to the Port of Honolulu (Oahu), and the period of performance is July 2026 through October 30, 2026.
