Summary
The County of Orange, through its OC Public Works department, has issued a Request for Qualification (RFQ) to pre-qualify Architect-Engineer (A-E) firms eligible to provide power generation, distribution engineering and commissioning services for county-wide maintenance and capital projects on an as-needed basis. The scope covers comprehensive A-E services including cogeneration systems, medium and low voltage electrical generation and distribution, emergency power systems, microgrids, battery energy storage, photovoltaic systems, EV charging infrastructure, HVAC systems, central utility plants, and commissioning services. Successful respondents will be entered into three-year Qualified Vendor List (QVL) contracts awarded by the County's Board of Supervisors, with the County reserving the right to make multiple awards; the due date was extended to July 15, 2026 by Addendum #2.
