Summary
Portland Parks & Recreation, on behalf of the City of Portland, has launched the Portland Waterfront Park Design Competition, a two-stage open international design search for an architect-led or landscape architect-led multidisciplinary design team to revitalize Governor Tom McCall Waterfront Park's Bowl area. Stage One is a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) inviting design teams to submit their team composition, relevant experience, and qualifications, with three semi-finalist teams to be selected to advance to Stage Two. The competition is managed by Malcolm Reading Consultants with submissions handled through the City of Portland's SAP Ariba procurement portal; Stage Two (RFP), public exhibition, and a Spring 2027 winner announcement will follow.
