Description: Water system improvements project involves the abandonment of existing 2”, 6”, 8” , and 10” CIP, AC, and PVC water main with approximately 6,400 LF of new 6” PVC water main, 930 LF of new 8” PVC water main, 360 LF of new 8” fusible PVC installed by horizontal directional drill, 4,570 LF of new 10” water main, and 970 LF of new 10” fusible PVC installed by horizontal directional drill.

The Town of Stantonsburg is accepting sealed informal bids for its Water System Improvements – Phase One (Potable Water Well) project. The work generally consists of drilling a new four-inch test well, with a pilot hole approximately 500 feet deep, temporary casing and initial yield testing. Additional water-quality testing is required if the well produces the minimum yield, and contractors must obtain the complete bidding documents from the project engineer.
