Pier B Ondock Rail Support Facility Rail Yard Access Improvements RFP

Description: The Work required by this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: realignment, relocation, shifting, resurfacing, and rehabilitation of existing railroad tracks and construction of new lead tracks within the Pier B rail yard and Pico Avenue corridor, including special trackwork (turnouts and a crossover); modification of the railroad signal system at CP Gaspur; demolition and removal of existing tracks, pavement, utilities, and structures, including removal of abandoned third party utilities; earthwork, grading, subgrade preparation, and soil disposal; storm drain and underdrain improvements; utility protection, including a casing extension for water line protection and protection of the LACSD trunk sewer; relocation of street lighting; fencing; and traffic control, with the Work phased around active railroad operations.
