Summary
The project consists of the build out of an existing pre-engineered metal one-story building with a mezzanine. This slab on grade building will be used to store and service equipment. The 23,600 SF slab-on-grade garage/shop will have 4 vehicle bays for street maintenance equipment with overhead sectional doors at each bay. There will be another two bays for equipment maintenance, there will also be a separate bay to be used for vehicle washing. The first-floor office area will consist of offices for the street staff, a meeting room, rest rooms, and a mechanical room. The second floor will consist of Locker Rooms, Showers, and a Break Room. There will also be an office in the shop area for the head of maintenance and parts storage. The Building is an existing pre-engineered metal building that was originally unfinished. The exterior of the building has metal siding that will be reused as much as possible. The existing metal roof will be reused as much as possible. The existing foundation will be modified to accommodate the remodel. The floor will be concrete slab with in-floor heat.
