NASA/George C. Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) intends to extend the period of performance under contract 80MSFC22CA004 via a sole-source contract modification to New Rights Group, Inc. (Development Seed) to prototype a novel open-source data format and enhance the Commercial Smallsat Data Acquisition (CSDA) data system. The work covers a 3-month extension (Apr 1–Jun 30, 2026) plus a 1-month option (Jul 1–31, 2026) and will include software development, system integration, and vendor interfaces. CDMA scope includes ongoing full lifecycle support for the CDMA Platform technology, FDIC business adoption support (business initiatives using the platform), and continuous modernization of the platform. Implementing advanced data security capabilities (including enterprise data labeling), multi-cloud and on-premises data fabric architecture, ongoing maturation of the CDMA platform, ongoing maturation of the Lake House for enterprise data management, ongoing improvements to automated management of the platform infrastructure via Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and business self-service capability improvements. Scope includes key technology: Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Services (aka collection of Azure cognitive services – including Azure Open AI), Azure Cosmos DB, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Container Registry, Azure API Management, GitHub Enterprise, Splunk, and Terraform. The CDMA program, led by CDOS, includes establishing and providing ongoing support to the FDIC business Divisions as they adopt this new, strategic, enterprise-wide data management and data analytic foundation capability.
