Notice of Competitive Bidding for the Disposition of Certain Property

Description: The City of Cedar Falls, Iowa is soliciting competing written proposals for the purchase and redevelopment of a city-owned parcel of real property (Lot 10, Creekside Business Park) located within the South Cedar Falls Urban Renewal Area. The City has already received a proposal from Allen Memorial Hospital Corporation to buy the property for $3,160,000.00 and construct a 15,000+ square-foot medical facility, and now invites competing proposals offering terms no less favorable to the City at fair value under Iowa Code Section 403.8. Written proposals must be delivered to the Cedar Falls City Clerk by 9:00 AM on July 17, 2026, with qualifying proposals opened that morning and forwarded to the City Council for evaluation at a public hearing on July 20, 2026.
