North Creek FEMA Repairs (Request for Qualifications)

Disaster 4593 - Provide expertise in civil, environmental and structural engineering design, particularly stream bank restoration and modular block wall design and repair. This FEMA project will repair flooding damage caused by severe winter storms that resulted in Federal Declared Disaster DR-4593-WA. High water level and wind fallen trees caused streamflow to undermine the concrete footing of the existing modular block retaining wall, resulting in a portion of the wall collapsing into the creek. Temp measures are in place, including a chain link fence and erosion control sacks. The goals of the project are to restore the trail to its original width and to construct stream bank bioengineering reinforcement to protect the trail from future flooding damage. The consultant will utilize the existing 40% design and complete a 100% design package for construction advertisement, including PS&E; environmental documentation and permit application preparation; coordination with FEMA and permitting agencies; and ROW acquisition and support.
