Norfolk Harbor Inner Channel to Newport News Maintenance Dredging Located in Hampton Roads, Virginia
Dredging approx. 550,000 CY of maintenance material.
Description: Work includes demolition of portions of an existing parking lot, including paving, curb and gutter, drainage structures, light poles, and plantings. Adjacent areas shall be protected during demolition. New work is the construction of a new 1 story wood and steel framed building with a partial flat roof, partial sloped sawtooth roof, and fiber cement siding. The new building will be supported on a deep pile foundation system with cast-in-place concrete grade beams and an elevated cast-in-place concrete floor. The concrete floor will extend on multiple sides of the building to create occupiable deck spaces. Openings will be thermally broken aluminum storefront and fiber-composite windows. Multiple steel stairs, frp stairs, and concrete ramps will comprise the vertical circulation from grade to elevated first floor. See attached file.
