NEMT Broker for Medicaid FFS Beneficiaries

Description: Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a contractor to serve as the designated NEMT broker for eligible fee-for-service Medicaid beneficiaries in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb Counties, with potential expansion statewide. The contractor will verify eligibility, schedule medically appropriate transportation, establish reimbursement rates and provider network management, recruit volunteer drivers, submit prior authorizations through CHAMPS, and report on utilization and compliance. The contract is planned for August 1, 2027 through July 31, 2030, with up to five one-year renewals, and proposals are due October 30, 2026.
