Summary
The University of Ottawa has issued Request for Proposals 40178-2D-RFP seeking a qualified vendor to supply, deliver, install, commission, train, warranty-support, and document a modular, enclosed, laboratory-scale direct-write additive manufacturing printing platform for research-scale fabrication of printed electronics, functional material patterns, high-viscosity conductive traces, quantum-material and nanomaterial test structures, sensors, small devices, and related three-dimensional or conformal substrates. The system must integrate precise XYZ motion control, microdispensing, optical process monitoring, alignment assistance, surface height sensing, localized post-processing, and a photonic (light-based) annealing element, and must include all hardware, control computer, software, accessories, calibration tools, safety controls, and starter consumables required for operation. Proposals must be submitted electronically via MERX in two separate attachments—a qualitative proposal (Attachment #1) and a pricing proposal (Attachment #2)—by 3:00 PM EDT on July 24, 2026.
