Summary
DESIGN BUILD: The work includes, but is not limited to: Final design and engineering for river realignment (Lower Segment). Construction of a new river channel alignment (~15 miles). Major earthwork, excavation, cut/fill, grading, and channel shaping. Temporary and permanent access roads. Connection, disconnection, or abandonment of existing infrastructure including the Rio Grande, the Low Flow Conveyance Channel (LFCC), and the Elmendorf Drain. Installation of riprap, erosion protection, and a flow control structure. Water diversion and management during construction. Environmental and cultural compliance support, permitting, and monitoring. Vegetation restoration, seeding, live plantings, and 36‑month revegetation monitoring. Post‑construction acceptance testing, as‑built documentation, and training for Reclamation staff.
