Soil excavation and rock excavation and removal for project features. Construction of a reinforced concrete intake structure with a 10' wide by 20'-long travelling screen. Construction on this item cannot be started until water is drained from the canal in late October. Construction of two trench-style reinforced concrete sumps (20' deep by 8' wide by 40' long each). Installation of 14 200-hp vertical turbine pumps and motors. Installation of steel pipe, valves, and meters. Fabrication and installation of large diameter steel header. Installation of 54" diameter HDPE pipe. Construction of a 560-SF facility control building. Installation of electrical systems and control components downstream of the transformer/meter. Coordination with United Electric. Site improvements and grading for access and ongoing maintenance. Provide SCADA for the pump station and pipeline projects. The subcontractor installing the SCADA system components and developing the internet-based system interface is required to be a local contractor. In this case local is defined as having a permanently staffed office with technicians capable of installing, repairing and maintaining the SCADA system that is located within 60 miles of the project site.
