C. Non-Skid Application on Metal Stairs The contractor shall apply a non-skid walking surface to the existing metal stair treads serving the slide. Work shall include: Mechanical surface preparation to achieve proper adhesion. Cleaning and preparation of the substrate. Application of primer compatible with the final coating system. Application of a durable, high-solids, slip-resistant coating designed for wet, outdoor environments. D. Installation of Safety Barriers Beneath Stair Structure: The contractor shall install safety netting beneath the water slide stairs to prevent access underneath the structure. Work shall include: Furnishing and installing durable netting or barrier material; Netting shall be secured using symmetrically aligned anchor points consistent with the slide handrails to allow the netting to hang straight and uniform; Anchor bolts shall be drilled into the concrete floor for the primary attachment point. Secondary attachment shall be completed using drilled anchor points or eyebolts, with eyebolts preferred for a clean and finished appearance; All fastening shall be completed using professional-grade methods to ensure a secure, durable, and visually cohesive installation; Materials shall be suitable for outdoor, aquatic facility environments.
