Summary
Lakeland Electric (City of Lakeland) seeks replacement of the existing MGT1 fire suppression system with a self-contained high-pressure water mist fire protection system that uses stored-pressure nitrogen/water cylinders and electrically supervised solenoid-operated valves and does not use electric motor-driven pumps. The project includes replacement of piping, nozzles, temperature detection devices, pull stations, audible/visual notification devices, a releasing control panel, and associated suppression hardware, and the work is intended to be completed during a planned outage (ideally Sept 13–19) to minimize operational impacts. A sealed pricing proposal is due July 24, 2026 at 4:00 PM Eastern (bidders must submit pricing line items and include Attachment L); a non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for July 9, 2026 at 10:00 AM at McIntosh Power Plant.
