Procurement of construction services for the City of Adel's Lift Station #18 Improvements, involving the installation of a new wetwell, three submersible pumps, and related infrastructure.
AvailableImprovements to lift station. This station is a three-pump (triplex) submersible sewage pumping station. To replace aging infrastructure and upsize the lift station capacity, a new wetwell complete with pump station components will be installed at the site of the existing pump station next to the existing equipment. The following major components will be installed: pour-in-place concrete wetwell and valve pad, three submersible pumps, guide rails, access hatches, station piping, electrical panel and controls, sanitary sewer manholes, fencing, new gab site pad. Existing equipment will be relied upon for lift station operation during construction. Following turnover to new equipment, existing structures will be abandoned in place, and pipes will be cut, capped, and abandoned in place where indicated on the plans. Contractor will also make the appropriate connections and disconnections to and from the existing and proposed system. Bypass pumping will be required to make tie-ins to the existing force main.
