Grants have an equal funding match requirement (50% or 1:1 match). LCIP grant may reimburse up to half of the project cost. Organizations must document match funding. Grants must have secured sufficient funding to be able to complete the project. Priority is given to properties located in distressed counties, determined pursuant to RCW43.168,020 to have an unemployment rate that is 20% above the state average for the previous three years. Priority is given to properties located in a designated rural county as determined by Washington State Office of Financial Management to have a population density less than 100 persons per square mile or counties smaller than 225 square miles. Priority is given to properties listed on local, state or federal historic registries, and for projects ready for construction in the 2027-2029 biennium.
