The work includes rebuilding and repairing pumps, blowers, gearboxes, rewinding motors up to 400 HP, metal fabrication, retrofits, and electrical wiring/troubleshooting up to 480V. The contract will support both emergency and routine maintenance at Baytown water plants.
AvailableProvide mechanical services in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained within this invitation for bid (IFB). This service contract will be utilized by WWTP for emergency and routine maintenance and repairs at the water plants. must be able to rebuild and repair most equipment at a water or wastewater plant including, but not limited to: a) mechanical bar screens, conveyers and other head works related equipment b) blowers, both centrifugal and positive displacement c) sewage and water pumps, including submersible, centrifugal, vertical turbine, split case, dry well type self-priming and others d) gear cases, gearboxes and gear reducers. 2. Must be able to rebuild and re-wind electrical motors of various types and sizes up to 400 HP including hollow shaft vertical turbine motors. 3. Must be capable of general metal fabrication and structural repair of process equipment such as clarifiers, skimmer arms and baffles, and aeration equipment. 4. Must be capable of fabricating parts for obsolete equipment and the retrofitting of newer equipment in place of irreparable and obsolete equipment 5. Master electrician license from the state of texas and ability to unwire and rewire equipment up to 480 v, and to troubleshoot fully electrical equipment, is preferred and may be taken into consideration in bid award.
