Summary
This project consists of exterior restoration and improvement work at the County Courthouse Complex. The original courthouse, a designated historic building listed with the New York State Historic
Preservation Office, requires restoration of its exterior masonry and architectural features. The limestone and granite character
defining façade has become stained due to biological growth and environmental exposure and shall be cleaned and restored to
its original appearance. The northwest brick façades require repointing, selective brick replacement, and replacement of
deteriorated steel window lintels. Restoration work also includes the parapets, roof copings, architectural doors, ornamental
features, and other historic exterior elements to preserve the building's historic character. Additional work includes restoration
of building components serving both the original and new courthouse buildings, including areaways, stairs, and landscaping.
